IMPORTANT : Some tubes have the pivot-pin holes further back than others. Older tubes tended to have them closer to the front of the tube which fits this barrel band well. Newer tubes tend to have them back further which causes the barrel band holes to be sightly off center (too far forward) for the pivot pin to fit through easily. If you run into this problem the easiest fix is to simply file the front of the tube back slightly until the holes align. This is very easy to do, only a few file strokes are needed in most cases. Be very careful to keep filings out of the tube where they can cause damage to the seals. We use these bands for custom 13XX builds, fit them to the tube and pin if needed, then clean the parts before assembly.
This band allows mounting of longer barrels on 1377, 1322, 1300KT and PC77 models. It's also a much more stable upgrade for the 2289G Backpacker. It's the Crosman Custom Shop 1300KT version with an upgraded socket cap screw. It was drilled and tapped to fit the screw which is long enough to engage the full-thickness of the threaded left side. This is a lot more durable than the original screw which tends to strip the threads in the band if over-tightened or repeatedly installed. We use these on our custom 13XX models, they're very stable and fit perfect. Made of high-impact polymer they're much harder, stronger and more stable than the older Backpacker version. The cap screw fits a 9/64 hex wrench or bit which is not included.
We have four versions listed. Upgraded socket-screw versions can be selected through the drop-down menu above including black-oxide alloy steel, 316 stainless steel or brass screws. We have the original Phillips-screw version listed in the Genuine Factory Parts category.
