 This trigger group is a direct fit for all Discovery and 2260 models. The slot in the plastic stock for Maximus and Fortitude models needs to be cut or filed about 3/8" longer towards the front to fit. This is very easy to do, the plastic is very thin in that location. If you use a wood Discovery stock with Maximus or Fortitude no modification is needed.

 This custom trigger group is a high-performance single-stage setup with adjustable travel and a very light pull. The casing is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, one of the strongest of all commercial aluminum alloys, stronger than many types of mild steel and stainless steels only much lighter. It's not a copy of the original, it's re-engineered to fit and function better. The custom trigger and safety are also 7075-T6 aluminum. The trigger return-spring and adjustment set-screws are stainless steel. The custom sear is heat-treated 410 stainless steel. Travel is adjustable in both directions. This group is adjusted to a short travel that's very easy to pull. This produces fast response and improved accuracy which makes it ideal for hunting and target shooting. With the thinnest trigger blade in the industry and a larger trigger guard there's a lot more room for adult-sized fingers. The trigger pull varies from around 8 oz to 3 lbs depending on how it's adjusted, how much hammer spring tension you have and how smooth your striker assembly works. This is the same group we use in our infamous Magnum Destroyer series rifles (the most powerful .22 air rifles commercially available) which have a trigger pull of around 8 oz. with an output of 62 FPE.


 This group is shipped ready to mount and use. Further adjustment can cause the gun to fire unexpectedly or not at all, and should only be done by experienced individuals. A .050" hex wrench or bit (not included) is needed to adjust the travel screws. The top screw adjusts how high the sear rises, this should be adjusted so the safety engages smoothly without leaving forward travel for the trigger. The bottom screw adjusts how far down the sear will move, it can be adjusted to limit trigger pull to only what is need for the gun to fire. Too short of a travel adjustment can prevent the gun from firing when the trigger is pulled. This is a dangerous situation where the hammer is partially released and could fire unexpectedly. To correct this safely, fully cock the gun and engage the safety. Then adjust the screw away from the trigger until it will fire correctly.


 Hammer spring tension has a large effect on trigger pull, the custom power adjusters, hammer springs and valves we have listed are designed to produce more power with less hammer force, this helps reduce trigger pull while retaining or gaining power.
